Why?

Why this blog?

Put simply, I wanted a more personalized site unconnected to any other organization or blog site as a home base. I wanted a place to present myself holistically, that would host my blogs, articles, books, speeches, and presentations, on enhancing democracy, equality, economic and social justice, as well as knowledge management and collective intelligence in political systems trying to build and maintain democracy.

My need for that has been getting more acute lately since I’ve been on a book writing tear over the past seven months, and have been feeling a bit awkward about introducing one book per month on other people’s sites, rather than on my own. That said, I’ll continue to cross-post on other sites if they’re interested in, or don’t mind informing their readers about one or all of my books.

In addition, I also wanted a site where I could offer talks and presentations to organizations interested in politics, economics and knowledge management. And so this site will do that, as well. Please note the many speaking topics I feel at home talking about, and also that I am now offering short speeches and presentations to the public, rather than simply workshops to the knowledge management community; hanging out a shingle in politics and economics, as they say!

So, welcome to my site, and thanks for coming! I hope you like the look and the simplicity of it, and find it easy to use. I’ll be working continuously to keep improving it and to make it a good site for you to find people to exchange with.
